Vampire Facelift® Austin, Texas
The Treatment Process
The patients’ blood is drawn and processed in our specialized, in-house lab to provide the purest sample of Platelet Rich Plasma. Topical numbing cream is applied to the skin, then injected into specific areas of the face to promote collagen growth and begin the regenerative process.
The Vampire Facelift® utilizes Platelet Rich Plasma to stimulate the natural healing process in the facial skin, building the underlying tissue, tightening the skin, and increasing blood flow to the area, which improves color/complexion.
The complete Vampire Facelift® involves three techniques including:
Platelet Rich Plasma injections.
JUVÉDERM® : This substance made of Hyaluronidase cross-linked chains that can be used in conjunction with Platelet Rich Plasma to add volume to the face in specific areas where collagen has been lost.
Microneedling Pen: Platelet Rich Plasma is applied to the skin, then the MD pen™ is moved across the skin, creating a series of micro channels and driving PRP into the skin. This activates the production of collagen, elastin and platelets that together tighten, tone and smooth the skin.
The Vampire Facelift®, named for the process involving the use of Platelet Rich Plasma, was developed by Charles Runels, MD, a more natural process to achieve a more youthful appearance and glow to the skin. When an injury occurs, our body activates platelets in the blood stream initiating the healing response, releasing healing proteins to the damaged region. These growth factors and stem cells stimulate the growth of new tissue in the damaged area.
