Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a unique and very exciting solution to promote and accelerate healing in injured or damaged tissues. The platelets produced in the PRP process can be activated, and the growth factors harnessed, to produce Platelet Lysate (PL) or Growth Factor Concentrate (GFC), which have been shown to accelerate tissue healing.
Platelet Lysate has been used to attempt to stimulate repair after nerve injury, and has also been used in the epidural space of the spinal column to heal from disk herniation and radiculopathy. These growth factors may also help reduce the inflammatory joint damage associated with rheumatological disease.
